The margin between the major leagues and minor leagues are small.  A little tweak to a swing, a change in the mechanics of a pitcher, a fielder working on their footwork - small changes have big results.  

And these smaller in size books, have powerful messages.  Ones that speak not just to the people of their time - but to us.  They are a reminder of the human condition and our need for a savior - Jesus.  There is something deeply wrong within us, sin.  We have a natural bent toward sin and we need Jesus to come and point us back to God. 

So one of the ways God did that was through prophets - people He gave influence to in order to speak to nations, kings, people who would listen and turn back.  These words still have influence over us.
